The 2021 Township Budget has been approved, and we are excited to share the details with you. On top of general Township maintenance and salaries, we have budgeted for the following capital expenses:
2021 Road Program – The Board has nearly $900,000 budgeted for the 2021 Road Program. The main focuses will be Coal Bluff Road and Pleasantview Rd. Township is pursuing a full overhaul to Coal Bluff Road to include drainage and repaving. They will also be repairing the two large, historical slides on Pleasantview Rd. These two roads are in dire need of attention and have been in the planning phases for multiple years, as the Board tried to secure grant and other funding. We are excited to be moving forward with these dire historical repairs after so long.
Veterans Memorial Park – The Board of Supervisors have budgeted $320,000 for upgrades to Veterans Memorial Park in 2021. Upgrades are to include a full-size multi-purpose, all-age baseball/softball field with lighting and bleachers, a safe paved access to the upper soccer field, handicap parking at the upper soccer field, and other minor improvements. Final plans and designs are being finalized and will be closely coordinated with the Parks and Recreation Board. The Board is excited to bring the Township a positive and safe place for our kids to play ball.
Township Building Renovations – The Township Building Renovation project will continue in 2021, as we bring the building up to the 21st This year we have planned to redo the flooring and painting. We hope to put this project out for bid in early 2021.
